The Veterans Games are back! This is a backyard games hosted by the Veterans First Organization in conjunction with South Bay Scottish Society. This event takes place at Las Positas College Track & Field in Livermore on July 12, 2025 from 8:30am - 3:00pm. Competition starts at 9:00am. Lunch will be provided (burgers & dogs) but you're welcome to bring your own food, supplements, chairs etc. There will be plenty of water & drinks on the field too.

This event is in honor of our Bay Area veterans and veterans that attend Las Positas College - so yes, you'll be throwing and joking with local heroes that served in our Armed Forces. Events include weights for distance, weight & sheaf over bar, caber, dummy drag race (in replace of hammers (still pending)), tug-of-war & stones. Implements according to your Class will be available. Scores will be added into NASGA/Scottishscores.com; you'll receive a 'field' certificate that day & a professional certificate will be emailed to you later that day. There are awards for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place winners for each class with a minimum of 4 athletes. There will be no games shirts for this event so come wearing your funnest military or Scottish shirt. Kilts required and available for rent too.

There will be a handful of vendors also. This event is a free event!!! If you're having financial hardships that will prevent you from attending then reach out to Athletic Director Josh Laine (925)321-0373 to receive a fee waiver and gas card so you may attend. The Veterans First Organization and South Bay Scottish Society would love to have you participate. Families are welcome too. Once you sign up you will receive an Athlete Email with additional details.
